I don't have any interest in boqvist. Kane at 8 million for two years doesn't have any appeal either. Kanes age and recent injury history are significant cause for concern, and that's a lot of cap space. I know there's lots of people that will question character, but I know plenty of people that were jackasses at 25, that grew up by 35. I don't know the guy, I think the red flags from being 35 and coming off hip surgery is plenty to nix a deal for 2 years at 8 per.

I wouldn’t offer 8 million and I doubt anyone in the league would. He’s 35 and coming off of hip surgery. He’s already a defensive liability, and his offense will only be declining from here on. Throw in that he’s missing half the season, and this is much too big a contract.

I think someone ends up giving him a deal for $5mil or so,
with incentives so he can earn more- BUT only for 1 year

He was playing injured but had hip surgery so should see a different version of him this upcoming season. Doesn’t seem very likely though.
