I would swap Krebs for mittelstadt. Krebs looks like he might have an important role for us in the bottom 6. I'm not a fan of mittelstadt, but he's coming off a good offensive year, I would think several teams would have interest in mittelstadt as a top 6 something er other. To be fair, I don't think Buffalo should be looking at hanifin, it's a bizarre fit for a team with two recent first overall picks that are left handed, plus Samuelsson who brings out the best in dahlins game. Does that mean that hanifin joins an all lefty top 4? Does it mean that he's on the third pair, making 6.5 in the last year of his contract before ufa? Can I see a situation where the Sabres are absolutely killing it, and they suffer a season ending injury to one of those high end d, like right before the deadline?- sure, but it seems like some stuff really has to line up, and I'm not sure it would make sense for longer than this year, dahlin and power are going to get paid.

I personally don't think Hanifin is a good fit. Not that he's not a good player, but his defense isn't IMO what we need. Plus we are pretty Strong down the Left side anyway. Rather Keep Krebs and use that 1st on say Pesce.
