Take out the whole trade. Parayko is a terrible contract, Neighbors will never be what Nylander is and the futures don't help a win now team. It's a trash trade for TO.

Again the blues have no need for Nylander. We need to upgrade our defense and trading our best one is going in the opposite direction. We have so too many wingers and winger prospects so adding another winger makes little sense. Plus Nylander is going to want a contract the blues will be very hesitant to give out

He’s somewhere in between 4 and 7 on our group of prospects. That being said he’s better than any defensive prospect we have. Which is exactly why there’s 0 reason for the Blues to trade Parayko for Nylander, include Neighbors and then give Nylander an ungodly extension. Especially considering we have Kyrou and Thomas signed long term. Regardless of what anyone thinks in regards to Parayko the Blues have no reason or need for Nylander. That’s not a knock on the player he is. We are just extremely loaded on forwards near and long term and we’re going to need every asset we have to find suitable defenseman to shelter both Krug and Faulk if there’s no fix there. I could outline stats in regards to Paraykos usage and partners. But that generally doesn’t get anywhere with people looking from the outside in.
