Leafs need to UPGRADE their D by adding some size and physicality. They should not be trading their best defensive dman for nothing and not replacing him and then adding a forward.

We have space on our retentions list for 2.5 mil when we flip him for a better return than that though.

Brodie wouldn't get any play time in NSH. Schenn was brought in because of his physicality and to more or less protect Josi, as stated in an interview with Trotz. NSH is going to play Carrier and Barrie over him on the right side. On the left side he isn't playing over Josi or McD. The only player who he could play over is Lauzon. The best NSH would realistically do is be the 3rd team to retain on some of Brodie's contract. Whether NSH is the one negotiating that deal or if TOR is negotiating it, it wouldn't matter, but Brodie's on purpose in NSH would be to flipped.
