Best 4th Line in the League

Created by: TMLBRIAN
Team: 2023-24 Arizona Coyotes
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 13, 2023
Published: Sep. 13, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Arizona is really starting to shape up.

Is this the best 4th line in the league? I say yes.

They have no PROVEN #1 C but Hayton had a good year last year and Cooley has super star potential.

Their defence is super unproven but it has a lot of talent and young potential.

Their goaltending is solid.

I said this about a month ago and I will say it again. They are my flyer pick to make the playoffs this year. Of course ALOT would need to go right for that to happen but I am putting them in my start of year playoff picks.

Am I crazy? What are your thoughts?

Very good. Their top 6 is starting to look very interesting as well if Cooley can live up to his super star potential.

The fact that their bottom 6 is this good, it will really take pressure off guys like Cooley and Hayton. Which may free them up quite a bit.

Very interested to see how this team does. Dumba signing was perfect as well (for both parties). I was calling them a perfect fit WEEKS before he signed in Arizona as well.

Time will tell.

They have the roster to make noise this year, that's for sure, even if they don't make the playoffs.

how many 4th lines had combined 95 pts last year?

will be interesting on the middle 6; 2C cooley (loads talent, 19yo), 3C mcbain (very physical, 23yo) both Cs are young; W's - l/r zucker (veteran, scorer), l/r crouse (veteran, physical), l maccelli (young, playmaker) and r guenther (young, scorer)

I like ur lines - split the vets up and split the young guys get both lines pretty balanced

Definitely agree! I am not sure the best bet for their d lines though but this was my best guess.

I would also put the scoring tag beside Crouse as well.

Interesting team. They have so many other good prospects outside this team as well and 4 billions picks over the next 3 years as well. This organization is in a very good place in that regard.

kerfoot and bjug more than capable D and crouse/mcbain on 3rd are very good D

crouse gets most G jamming in rebounds or driving to net - I wouldnt be surprised he gets closer to 30 G next year but I dont see him as true scorer/shooter like zucker. not a knock

also see 2nd line - crouse (front net) - cooley (playmaker) - guenther (shooter)
3rd line maccelli (playmaker) - mcbain (front net) - zucker (scorer)

I still think there is a potential Hanifin trade this year. It would probably cost a young high potential D prospect/player in return along with a fair bit of the AZ draft capitol but the Yotes have that to spend. Solidifying the left side of the D is one player away. The right side is already in decent shape. Adding one piece that does not cost the future and adds significantly to the present and this team really does enter the playoff conversation.

Hanifin/Dumba
Moser/Durzi
Valimaki/Brown

I would only recommend doing that if Hanifin is signed to an extension. Then absolutely. But they should not be spending on a rental. Hanfin would cost quite a bit, even as a rental.

Agreed, an extension would be a requirement. Zero interest in Hanifin as a rental.
