Bruins trade wouldn't work, it's just contract dumping in exchange for a good young player and a 1st. That's terrible value for the Bruins.

I get that and I know it’s a bit different for defenseman, but 90+ point players don’t grow on trees or basically force their way to a specific team the way he and Fox did. Panarin also has 20 points in 30 playoff games it’s not like he does nothing. It would be a stain on the franchise to force him out whether anyone disagrees or not it would be a giant story and the players association would also probably get involved and it would turn players off from the idea of playing there

It doesn’t matter the points when he plays like he is disinterested and doesn’t care when it counts the most. He shows up against Tampa or Devils when there are 2-0 leads and the Rangers potentially win those series. Cherry-picking for certain games doesn’t help when you score all of those points in only a couple of games and have no impact on the other ones. And that’s fine if other guys don’t wanna come here. The running joke is the Rangers are the retirement home for past stars. It’d be nice to shake that label and finally develop from within to win.

Yeah I guess I just don’t see this but anything other than a massive overreaction lol the guy had back to back 90+ point regular seasons and had a good run in the 2022 playoffs. Ur not replacing Panarin with anyone even remotely comparable without 1 spending a fortune 2 going over the cap and then you also have to get Panarin to waive and find a team that he would 1 want to go to 2 being able to handle his cap hit 3 be in a position to make the trade for that player contention wise.

This situation just screams “you don’t know what you got til it’s gone”

He was nonexistent when it counted against Tampa. I’d personally scratch him until he decides he actually cares about winning instead of the terrible effort he puts in. With the talent he has he could be so much better if he tried.

I don't even want a high pick (meaning top 10) because this org will just f*** it up anyways. Give me mid to late first rounders all day everyday though, those turn out amazing for us. I'm honestly fine with most of the team aside from Panarin. I personally love Goodrow, Trochek, and Trouba it's that money is the issue there. Luckily in Trouba's case, Schneider will be in prime form to slot in his spot once the current deal is up and Goodrow can be easily bought out if nothing else. But Trochek should have never been signed (Drury f***ed over Chytil by doing that) and Panarin definitely should have never been signed.

I’m not a fan of Panarin either…but being resigned to the reality that they probably can’t move him, I’d rather focus thoughts on what the new coaching staff can bring to this team in terms of game plan and adjustments. Seemed as though numerous players threw Gallant under the bus in terms of his abilities here. During the season- can get away with it. In series vs same opponent- no way.

So how does Panarin respond? Who knows- but hopefully if the team finds success he’ll buy in, which can hopefully result in more success…we’ll see.

In response to Hockeyboy- I don’t think this team is constructed to win the Cup either. But if Muse can get through to LaF, Chytil, Kakko, Schneider, Othmann, Cuylle, Jones, etc….that really changes everything- and sky is the limit- esp with Shest in net.
