To start the season

Created by: Bc44
Team: 2023-24 Toronto Maple Leafs
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 14, 2023
Published: Sep. 14, 2023
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The Left side of the fwd group in young and unproven. 3 FWD lines deep and we can see if any of these young guys can play Robinson and Knies have very little pro hockey experience so I worry if they can handle a full NHL season at their young age. Also they both have a history of injuries especially Robinson. Give them an extended look on any of the top 3 lines and see if they can give the team something.
Trades
TOR
ANA
  1. Järnkrok, Calle
Additional Details:
A trade involving Jarnkrok is possible. It would have to be a team on his list. JUST CLARIFYING THIS IS NOT A TRADE TO ANH.

Another nonsensical Jarnkrok trade. You really think his M NTC would include a out of playoff team on the west coast with cap.

No, I never even considered a team. Im really not sure what teams are on his list. The cap is going to dictate a move of some sort. Jarnkrok being a 10-15 goal scorer and a 30-35 pt guy per year he would seem like a very replaceable player and a top 3 candidate to be moved. I could see Mcmann or Steeves being able to replace that production for less money.

That and the sharks are rebuilding so adding an older albeit solid NHLer seems redundant for now. Plus he was solid for you guys I wouldn’t want to move him if I was TOR.

Its not about the trade team. I literally didnt look at the team i clicked on. Leafs have a cap problem and Jarnkrok is a top 3 trade candidate as he makes 2.1mil. Hes a 10-15 goal scorer and a 30-35 pt guy, there are 7 guys left on the UFA list that have more or similar production to Jarnkrok and he had time with Matthews last season. Again this trade/post has nothing to do with the sharks and more to do with a possible Jarnkrok trade and leaf lines to start the season

Robertson played 17 games last season, he may not be happy about it but the best place for him to play this season is with the Marlies.

Your point here supports why other teams are not going to trade for him. Why would a team give up assets when they can pick up a similar player on the UFA list, without giving up any assets and having some control over the term and cap hit. The exact reasons you give why Toronto should trade him would be the exact same reasons other teams would not want to trade for him.
