Kubalik should be worth a 3rd at worst, retain 0.5 AAV if necessary

I would be UPSET if Dorion traded Brannstrom for a 2nd, his value is going to continue rising. Only way I'd find a trade acceptable is for a young forward

I should've probably worded this ACGM a little better. The value of both these players are obviously a lot higher (I view Brannstrom at a late 1st early 2nd round pick or young roster forward - Kubalik at a 2nd at most, 50% retention). The problem is Ottawa has no wiggle room right now unless Pinto takes the best 800k contract value of all time for a hope of a payday next year... even then... really tough to call up guys when you have 0 cap space.

I was also just upset that day about the potential of Pinto being moved for what is likely a draft pick.

I value Brannstrom and Kubalik the same way. Also agreed the current NHL market make it difficult to do anything. I think you move Kubalik for anything you can and sign Pinto to 1 year bridge. Not a bad thing for him as he could get his long term extension as soon as January (in 3 months). He would end up making more money than taking a 2 years bridge now.
