Description
edit - wrote a whole description but it got deleted smh

basically said I have liked how SJ has looked so far and been impressed with guys like Eklund, Bordeleau, Coe, Wiesblatt, Cardwell, and Vincent for forwards. Mukhamadullin, Guryev, Furlong, and Laroque on defense. Both goalies as well.

I know Beaupit will probably start final game but this is what I would do based off how everyone has looked to me so far.
Please comment y'all's opinions as I'm not great at analyzing players/scouting

Musty’s been fine imo, not great but definitely not bad. Expectations were really high for him after development camp and the Sharks’ prospect scrimmage when he got a hat trick, but he wasn’t great at wjc summer showcase and decent in both games against LA and Vegas. He’s had some high-energy forechecking sequences and good processing, should tear up the OHL this year.

tbh I haven’t loved how Pulli’s looked. Haven’t seen anyone else critique him and he hasn’t been bad necessarily, just hasn’t been good imo. Hasn’t been using his size and physicality defensively and would like him to hold on to the puck more to make plays. He’ll definitely start in the AHL I think but could definitely play NHL games at some point this year. haven’t ever scouted really so could be totally off.

Honestly not a lot here im super excited about tbh. Bordeleau is good, Eklund needs no introduction then there are guys like Halttunen, Wiesblatt, Robins and Musty I think could be solid.

But Thrun... omg he could be special, man. He needs to be talked about more lol.

This team really needs a top right handed defensive prospect tho imo. Like a Levshunov would be awesome for this pool. Or even Mews with the Penguins 1st next year. SJS really needs like two more top prospects and to free up their cap and 3 or so years from now could be lethal

what do you think Thrun’s upside is, though? I would say a really high-end 4th defenseman or a low-end 3rd defenseman who can be a really steady defensive presence and chip in offensively as well. A balanced two-way defenseman.

Yeah agreed, a top defensive prospect (right-shot preferably) is the main thing this team needs. A lot of cap space freeing up soon, I think 25/26 season is a good target date to be somewhat competitive.

Personally I see him having a a high floor and a decent ceiling. Not star level by any means but an all around good player. Shakir I think could be Heiskenen level. So damn smooth and really smart, but may need a full season to adjust to the North American pace.

As for RHD, Laroque looked so much better than I thought. He missed so much time with injury but when he was healthy he was great in Juniors and was a leader on that team. Unfortunately so many of the RD in our system weren't available, be it college or Europe, I really liked the Landen and Pohlkamp picks, and Havelid has been playing great to start the season in Sweden logging a ton of minutes.

I think if the Sharks are in the 3-8 zone of this next draft they'll go for a RHD, there's some really special d-men in this draft
