Description

I'm still in the thought process that they should pick up one more middle 6 or 2nd line player to push this forward core over the edge. Kane isn't the player he used to be, but in a lesser role, he still has the elite offensive instincts. This gets them strong offensive talents on each wing in the top 9. Then they can trust in one of the young centers to take a step in either Drury, Suzuki, Rees or Ponomarev. I went with the scenario of Suzuki winning the roster spot with how well he played in the prospect games, but time will tell. I'm thinking if Drury doesn't impress, he'll be traded. He's running out of time as a prospect and i don't think another year in the AHL or in the press box for half the season will do him much good. Maybe he just needs a change of scenary.

He's out until January. A contenting team will probably give him a shot for a playoff run but he's not the same player he was years ago. People need to let him go.
