Tough to say exactly but considering the length of Miller's contract it would probably have to be a 1st at least, but I don't see the canucks doing that deal since they would need a 2C and the Canucks need to win this season or else they are at risk of Pettersson leaving.

Nylander would be as good defensively as Miller is at centre.

A. Canucks don't do it BC they need a 2C behind Petterson.
B. Leafs Don't do it because they don't get the value AND Miller's cap hit is higher and the Leafs are already over the cap - and no way does VAN retain on Miller for the length of that contract.

That’s a pretty good question. I am a Leafs fan but I’d prefer to have Miller on the Leafs over Willy. Nylander gets more goals and points but I think Miller is more feisty. Keefe experimented with Willy playing Center last year and there is rumblings of that again. Maybe Van can use him in that roll.
As a Leafs fan, I’d like to see a D come back for Willy though. Maybe they flip Hronek or Soucey to the Leafs in this deal and Leaf’s add Lily or something along those lines with a draft pick/prospect to complete the trade. IMO

Miller got a lot better since tochett took over, although I do believe Nylander can play center we just have seen it in the NHL for an extended period, if Nylander can prove that he can play center the Canucks makes this move in a second.

The Leafs wouldn't ever make this move.
