I can’t see the Coyotes doing the first trade and I can’t see San Jose doing the second.

Love me some Mario Ferraro but doubt he'd get moved for anything less than a 1st for San Jose. Probably going to be the next captain there

If I was the sharks I would do this,
Sharks have Thrun and Mukhamadulin on the left side plus Knyzhov and Vlasic(till we buy him out or his contract expires) and a few other solid younger defensive minded LD prospects like Othotiyuk Pulinand Guryev plus a few offensive ones like Furlong and Cagnoni. This would hurt cause the team and fans love Ferraro but if you take emotion out of the equation it makes a lot of sense for the sharks.

First trade is lose-lose for both teams I'd say. For Arizona, they have no incentive to trade Crouse who is someone they value as a member of the core, and they already have Hayton, Bjugstad, Cooley, and McBain as competent centers. For Washington, Wilson already fills a similar role to Crouse and he is likely to be buried on the wings which will likely lead to a similar scenario as Mantha last year, while also opening a significant hole at 1/2C as Backstrom does not seem fit for the role anymore. Kuznetsov's NTC probably blocks this anyway though, I'd be surprised if Arizona was not on it.
