Description
Making this list because someone on 1 of the podcasts (Athletic I think) had Fox on their list and no Crosby or Draisaitl.
There are a lot of great offensive dmen, they're just not that great defending.
Here's my list, let me know what yall think 😀
Vasilevsky is #9

Hughes isn’t top 10 yet. If this is in order then Matthews, Draisaitl, and Tkachuk are too low. I’d put Fox and Kucherov over Hughes and Crosby, and maybe Pettersson over Vasilevskiy (kinda tough to compare goalies and skaters though)

Draisaitl definitely deserves to be in the top 5

Only one Dman in the top 10 ain't it. Stopping goals is as important as scoring them.

Yea man I agree. Stopping goals is as important. But then you have to provide a name...because Fox, QHughes, Karlsson can't stop goals . I think Hedman is the next best but he's not top 10

My only counter argument is he plays against the second pairing D every game, or he plays with McDavid.
If he were on a team as the top line center, I don't think he'd be as productive

Clown list Kucherov has 116 pts /82 over the last 3 3rd behind McDavid and Draisatl but you have Pasta l, Hughes Bhahahahahahaha, Tkachuk, Kucherov not top 5 makes this a complete clown post.
Kucherov one of three RWs with multiple 75 assist seasons joining only Jaromir Jagr and Guy Lefluer to do so. He's also one of three guys with back to back 30 point playoff seasons joining only Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemeiux doing so. But yeah he's not top 10 clown post

I think Hughes will get 110pts+ this year.
I think he'll be better than Matthew's.
No way I'm putting Crosby below AM. Head to head Crosby would win hands down because he makes others batter and he plays his own zone so much better

Fair enough. Heiskanen and McAvoy are both routinely underrated. I'd take either over Hughes in a heartbeat.

Also, hot take: I think Rantanen is better than Drai.

Yeah draisaitl hasn’t put up the same numbers for 5 years straight now clearly isn’t a pass first 50 goal scorer but I guess he’s not top 5.

You totally ignored his point there. I'd add that Drai scores an outsized portion of his points on the PP. Last season, he scored like 65 or so PP points.

if people want to post and be trolls and not actually bounce opinions around I just ignore them. I didn't even have the energy to tell him his sarcastic comment had no value to what I said...
But anyways. Draisaitl had 62 PPP and McDavid had 71. Hands down McDavid is the best in the league, so my point is basically that Draisaitl's pts are inflated by a certain margin just by being on 97's team.
