Leafs mainly need a d core upgrade. The value in that deal is not too bad, but it doesn't work for the Leafs. If we trade Lily and a 1st, I would want some retention. But either way, cap doesn't work for the Leafs AND we need one d upgrade. So that cap would need to be used on that d man upgrade and not a forward.

Overall, I think most of your valuations are reasonable. I do believe that Laughton package is reasonable BUT there would need to be 50% retention on it.

I strongly believe they should be selling Hart, Laughton and Konecny for as big of packages as they can get. So I like the direction you went here.

No chance on the OTT deal ur not dumping Joseph on us that cheap or someone would have done it already. TK I would like to be traded elsewhere for earlier picks or better prospects. And yeah that Hart trade is brutal value wise they would just re-sign him if that’s all they can get for him.

I realized after I meant to our first and like a 5th. I usually dump Joseph with a second but listening to Jeff marek I wanted to see with Joseph with lassi would do it

Lassi Thompson is a 22 yeard old RD, who was drafted 19th overall in the 1st round of the 2019 draft. His value has dropped since then. But him and that pick is more than enough compensation to dump Joseph, who is not a bad player at all.

Outsider perspective, that deal is very reasonable for both sides.

I can confidently say that I would rather have the 1st round pick because it’s likely going to be earlier in the round than 19 lol. I’d also rather we get to draft our own player than take on a 22 year old

It will not costs a 1st round pick to dump Joseph. I am confident in that. 2nd round pick is more than reasonable. Thompson + that 6th is easily worth a 2nd.

I like this deal for Philly. They need as many picks and decent prospects as possible. They won't hit on them all but they will hit on some. I would personally take a 2nd round pick though as well.

In the latest 32 thoughts he wondered if Joseph could be partnered with a player like lassi or a b prospect to dump his salary

I’m sorry you’re just wrong it cost less than a first to dump Nikita Zastiev

I don’t care about Zaitsev. Every day u can’t sign Pinto is another day the Sens delay the inevitable and give more leverage to the other team that is going to trade with them. The GM is just wasting time by not moving him to sign Pinto and every other GM knows it. Not to mention Joseph is awful in my mind. I wouldn’t touch him without a 1st being attached and I think he would have been moved already if a GM was willing to accept a 2nd

I'd like that trade for OTT/PHI. Joseph was one of the better PK players last year and still relatively young. Like the idea of taking a flyer on Lassi + dart throw in Rd6

The price someone wants to be paid and the price someone will pay are two completely different things. Pinto isn't going anywhere and will be playing on the 3rd line anyways. They can try to trade other players, such as Kubalik, Brannstrom, and Forsberg as well sending Lassi down via waivers and Sanderson on paper to utilize bonus overages next year. Of course teams want a 1st round pick, but that isn't because 3M x 3 years is such a burden to take on like you claimed. Its because there are few teams that can actually make it happen.
