Sharks pass. Havelid is a 19 y/o RHD, they have no need for more 24 and 25 y/o forwards.

Quality over quantity for Saros. This is just quantity…NSH declines.

I kinda like Poltapov tho

Maybe Havelid was the wrong ask back. I was looking for a "reserve" level player back.

Poltapov is a solid B prospect. Lindgren is a C level today but lots of room to grow. Olofsson helps the scoring now and UPL fights with Askarov for playing time. Plus the first is unprotected. Outside of Benson & Savioe, what do you think this needs?

Prokop may have been the wrong ask back. Who would for the Sabres timeline better?

Sharks are very high on Havelid, Simek Macdonald Cicek are the type your talking about

Ostlund but you traded him elsewhere so noone. Nashville absolutely needs a high end center prospect. Thats what Trotz was willing to part with 2 1st and Askarov for at the draft in Nashville. It is the thing we are absolutely missing in our prospect pipeline and NHL team since its inception.

Olofsson does nothing for Nashville in this scenerio. Without saros, we dont have a top 5 goalie to keep the team afloat. Olofsson doesnt add enough to counteract that. Even if nashville still had saros in this scenerio, we go from 20ish in the nhl to 18ish. The tean just isnt going to be that good barring a huge year from the young players and goalie and if that occurs why would we need olofsson?

I like Poltapov and we could use some LW prospects and we have been collecting some russians recently. Just not a prospect id want to target when trading your best trade chip.

Great point! I missed that when I was putting this together. Thanks for that catch!

I should have looked closer to their lineup. Maybe Savoie is on the table for Saaros? I know BUF wants to atleast look at him when he is healthy. Benson is definitely off the table. I only moved Ostlund, as a large trade chip to regain some of the draft capital I used in other deals; maybe I should revisit that idea if you think Ostlund would be able to make a Saaros deal. Thanks for pointers!

All good it’s hard to have a great knowledge of other teams prospect pools.
