If Vegas does that, awesome... maybe Marchessault can be 2C? If another prospect like Kovacs had to go I'd add it.

Rangers are close to putting together what looks like a great roster on paper.

Lias Andersson may be NHL-ready, but I don't think he'll be a C right out of the gate. I wonder if NYR will move Miller to C. Adding Marchessault would certainly solve a lot of the remaining questions! I don't see why Vegas wouldn't trade him since he'll be a UFA in a year anyway.

The other scenario would be if the Rangers could put together some crazy trade sending Staal to Edmonton or Carolina and get his cap hit off the books (allowing them to pursue another forward with a substantial cap hit). They'd probably have to throw in a high pick to move Staal.

Lias Andersson won't be ready by opening night.

Neither of those trades are realistic. MAYBE NYR get 1 4th round pick for Holden, definitely not 2. I would do the Marchessault trade immediately, but Vegas would be kicked out of Nevada if they did this. If they give up C depth, it's gonna take a lot in my opinion.

How does Ryan Graves and a 3rd round pick get you a young 30 goal scorer? I'm not even sure that would be enough to acquire him next year if he struggles all season. A 3rd round pick and crap prospect gets you at best a 15 goal scorer, so this is not even close.
