i will have to agree with you on this one..acgm i created was far fetched ..however i do hope they put parker on waivers and sign Josh Bailey for minimum he could rotate with MacEWen

I'd avoid Bailey too. They're 100% signing him, but he looks so slow out there, and while he's had a couple of good offensive plays, to my eyes he's hurt more than he's helped out there. The 4th line isn't gonna get time to set up in the offensive zone, and that's the only time he's been effective. Won't be any power play time either.

I've resigned myself to the fact that MacEwan will be a staple on the 4th line, but if he were to be a rotating piece with anyone, Rourke Chartier is the guy who should get the nod from the camp roster. I liked Sokolov there, but he's been sent back already, and Jarventie has been great but 100% benefits more developing in Belleville as the 1C. Chartier is a workhorse, he can play C or W, and he looked great on the pk. In that Pittsburgh game when they spent what felt like half the game shorthanded, I thought he was great. Brings way more of the kind of utility that Ottawa actually needs on the 4th line

I'd much rather have Highmore or Smejkal than Bailey

There is more than that but just those 2 should be enough to NOT sign Bailey

Smejkal is absolutely the 4LW. head and shoulders above anyone else who might be in consideration imo. Maybe I'm naive but I doubt even DJ Smith is putting him behind Kelly after their respective preseasons.

Norris's future is already majorly affected, possibly real major. Why was everybody ignoring his last 2 years lol. Even coming back, it was only a matter of time. Fans only focus on their team on paper & cute charts. Vladimir Tarashoulder Senko had the same crazy double shoulder years and played like a scared passenger last year also. Isn't Chabot still managing a wonky wrist from last year, or Chychrun...

all i am saying is that parker kelly is taking a roster spot when there are cheaper and/or viable options
