Could be to another team, but I'm fairly confident that Monahan returns a late 1st (25+) if he stays healthy. Big if, but he looks good right now.

That pick is conditional just an FYI. CBJ gets to choose if the pick is in 2024 or 2025. If the pick goes to 2025 I would trade that for Barron in a heartbeat but if it stays in 2024 I would rather trade a 3rd and minor prospect or something. I love Barron and have always wanted him on the Flyers but the reality is we shouldn’t be spending 1sts and 2nds on basically anything this upcoming year.

Harris and Barron are good young defenceman, you don't trade them away for pennies on the dollar, bundle them together and trade for a need, like a scoring winger

Maybe not together but i'm sure you can find a way to add 1 of them onto a package for a need like you say

you could bundle barron with a first and another prospect and net a pretty good package. trading Harris for a second round pick in three years just hurts the Habs

Totally agree with you, it would be stupid to do so. However, I don't think habs should trade their 1st this year or next. We could move the Calgary pick in 2025 depending on which pick we receive with the 1000 conditions of that Monahan trade lol

Honestly, I don't see a fit for Barron, i'm not really a fan of him. Move him and you can always draft a RD if needed. Konyushkov is looking solid in the KHL however. What the habs need right now is a top offensive forward/prospect and a young goalie. (Monty ain't it, Fowler and Dobes could become something but not sure value either)

Nucks would be interested in Barron but not Harris
