Of course he's a good player... is he a great player? Or a 11+m player? No. He should be making probably 8.5m on a team who can win a cup. My issue is the rangers just say eff it and throw money at whoever is available in free agency. Rangers also can't develop a player, but it's not shocking when you look at the development staff. No shot between andersson, kravtsov, laf and kakko (all top 10 picks) not one can develop in to star.

Anderson and Kravtsov, that ship has sailed (even tho we traded Anderson for Cullye which somehow we salvaged the situation), Laf At Max can be like a 60-point guy, but Kakko is an absolute dog, he shouldn't be put together with those guys IMO cause he actually shows his potential night in night out. Panarin is probably more of a 9.5 guy maybe a 10M guy, Which under the circumstances when he was signed, we were in a bidding war with the islanders and we were expecting the cap to rise, it makes it make more sense. But to say that he's one of the worst FA signings is a bit outrageous. I find it hard to separate cap number and actual skill too sometimes but to say that he isn't great when he puts up elite numbers is crazy
