ngl rangers probably say no to that, they'd maybe be willing to trade him but it would have to be at a better price

Rust has a NMC so I doubt he waives to the Hawks. Rangers might like it as they gaining cap space soon.

What reason would the NYR downgrade at center for useless picks

Could be a 2nd + 4th, but they get $3M in cap space with guys like Lindgren and KK being due for paydays next year

As a Ranger fan, i would take that to get out of that Trocheck contract. Maybe not at this moment but would consider it in the offseason.

KK won't be a 7.5mil player (hoping im so so wrong about this) but yea, a third line center as productive as him with ability to win face offs brings more back than that imo. like a late first would be fair

Hawks decline. Even if Rust was willing to waive for Chicago, the Hawks won't want to take him on for four additional years just to get Poulin. Poulin isn't that interesting as a prospect any longer

Detroit boy Bryan Rust isn't wasting his time on one of the worst teams in the NHL.

Easier to move??? What are you smoking

Panarin has full NMC, Trouba even with his M-NMC no one wants to take on $8m and goodrow needs at least a 1st round pick sweetener lol

Hell definitely need a high pick sweetener. Why would anyone take him for free? Cap space right now is a luxury even if it goes up $4m next year

I've become convinced that Panarin might be one of the most over-hated players in the NHL, especially by his own fans. The guy is practically a lock to go over a point per game and ur comparing his contract to Trouba. Is it an overpay... yes but he's still an elite player

I personally don’t hate Panarin unlike a lot of NYR fans. But in this point, im talking about moving him and his contract which is basically impossible

Your not wrong but trocheck would be a easier move than any if these others... you notice how our issues are overpaid free agents??? Rangers should be banned from signing free agents

He's a lazy player... trys to be too cute with his passing... there's a reason he's was top 3 in turnovers last season

It would be more beneficial to just buyout goodrow then move a high pick for him

Any other 3C and this team isn’t as good lol. I don’t know how you’d change the lineup other wise

Damn, what a lazy player even tho he put up 92 points, and ugh top 3 in turnovers along the sides of players like Pasta, Malkin, Draisatil, Karlsson, Kucherov, and Marner, what a travesty. And I promise you, out of every "cute" pass that u see he's connecting on two other "cute" passes that go unnoticed because they didn't result in turnovers

My guy I watch every game every year... he definitely doesn't connect on 2 for ever trash pass he makes. And yeah definitely lazy, if he doesn't have the puck or in the offensive zone he's not interested. One of the worst free agent signings for the rangers in the last 10 years.
