I get it, I saw the upside and saw his value at an all-time low, wouldn't blame them, I'd keep him if I was in their situation

Is this worth rags
If we want Buch It will cost Kakko & a First +... But we have no need for Hayes, as next season Chytil should come back 🙏 , but a more realistic package that I'd be willing to do would be something like
STL: Kakko, 2025 1st Rd Pick, Zach Jones, 2024 2nd Rd Pick
NYR: Buchnevich (2.9M Retained (IF WILLING)), Jakub Vrana
Ik Retained salary is a huge ask, so if they are willing the Rangers should go for it If their price is absurd then the Rangers will do without, I also don't know the whole situation going around Vrana
Overall, I don't think the Rangers make a massive splash, but rather target a Frank Vatrano type when we got him a few years ago, (3rd line guy that can play top minutes that would be a good fit)

Same major issue as my last one, still not addressing RW, so still will have the same problems as the current team unless they get Kakko under hypnosis
At this point I think/hope Robertson will have outplayed Jones for 3LD</div></div>
My bad, I thought the 4M increase was only for one year, this should help the Rangers anyway.
The ANA trade is to represent the Draft and spending our 2023 picks so I cant trade them here.
As for the RW issue, I get it, the way I look at it, it will be extremely hard to find someone to do what he does at his Price, I think they give him another two years and if he can't put it together, then Perrault will eventually take over his spot
I was struggling between Jones and Roberston and who to put in, Jones has shown more in the past couple of years but if Roberston is outplaying him i'd welcome him with open arms

Its only two years, and Patrick Nemeth fetched a 2nd and conditional 3rd, as someone who is worse IMO. Goodrow has good qualities as well as the cap increase should allow some levity and a lower price

I'm not even gonna talk about the Hannifin trade, If we extend him to that contact, it becomes impossible to do anything else in the next two offseasons, you're losing at least one if not more of, Laf, Igor, or Lindy. Plus it becomes super hard to keep Kakko, Schnieder, and maybe even Cullye. and if you lose any of them you then have to replace them, which won't be easy or Cheap. It does make sense to trade a relatively cost-controlled young 2nd pair guy for a pending UFA that will most likely demand higher than what he's worth

We don't even have to get rid of him this offseason, if we're smart with our money, the season after is probably when we part ways

As a Ranger Fan tbh I think thats a bit much for Barabanov but more importantly I'd rather just trade for Duclair who seems like a better fit and by your trades also cheaper

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Rags21</b></div><div>I doubt Kreider comes off Mika’s wing and trocheck is the better fit for Panarin right now</div></div>
No doubt Trocheck is a great fit with Panarin, but Mika and Krieder struggle together at 5v5, although I'm sure they'll pick it up, Mika is shooting an unsustainable 5.1%. But, If you put Cuylle and Kakko on Mika's line two players that can drive play with Nick Bonnio as their center imagine what they could do with Mika. Also that line has a drive your first line absolutely crazy and be a shut down line as well as being able to drive play in the offensive zone. As for Trocheck whoever is 2C will do absolutely fine with Panarin and Laf, but Trocheck and Krieder saw some nice success with Vesey on their wing, with Duclair, that may be the best 3rd Line in the NHL. At the moment I really don't care what they do, as long as they keep rollin.

Settle down. Wheeler is 37, not 27. His production doesn't play part in his leadership, as part of this team; at $800k, he wasn't brought here to light it up.
I, too, want to see Othmann here in NY, but it's an opportunity to develop further. At the same time, the team isn't hurting. If it was a moment of desperation, I'd agree with you.
But, THIS is proving to be the right path for NYR, including Wheeler.</div></div>

Cause he'd want to play. Many teams would take wheeler for free no strings attached, And again it isnt ab having him in the bottom six, in this situation he wouldn't play. So why would he waive his NTC because he could guarantee that he would go to a team that he wants to play for

I feel like i've. been misunderstood, im not trading Wheeler because he's been bad, he's been fine. however i do think Othmann would do better so at the end of the day you have to replace wheeler. And instead of just keeping him to rot and not play id trade him to a team he wants to go to.

The problem is NYR fans are expecting 90 point wheeler when he’s just a complementary piece at 37 years old. He’s been fine</div></div>
Nah the problem is wheeler would probably agreed that when a guy goes to ur team as a favor on a low cap deal you don't bury him in the ahl or on the depth chart, give him the chance to leave to a team, that he wants to go to
