Now that I look at it more, it feels like the Oilers lose a little too.. Bouchard, Bourgault, a 1st and a 2nd is a lot. Sure they upgrade the goaltending right now, but the other pieces in the deal for them are fringe at best except for Soderstrom, who at best right now might be able to become what Bouchard is, but he isn't even close right now. Big downgrade on the D for Edmonton, as Brown's game is replicated already in Desharnais, making him depth at best at over $1m ..

Just my two cents mate ... and I get that Campbell's cap hit is involved in the deal, I just don't like it overall for Edmonton based on the good pieces they lose!

Wut...None of this makes any sense for AZ. Sure, Bouchard is a decent young player and would be a decent add and Bourgault may become something someday, but that wouldn't be enough to blow up a team over.

I expect there is zero interest from any team in the league to "help" the oilers out of their bad contract anchor. Welcome to the show!
