Description

The WORST thing that this team could do at the TDL this year, even if we are a .600 team, would be to buy. This would have them with 79 pts and on track for 100, that’s a playoff team but not much more.

Essentially, we would trade Myers retained for bear and a 2nd, and then retain on beauviller to get a 2nd as well.

In the end I dont think Garland will be moved, I think he will end up just staying put and being a good player for us. I think this team can make the playoffs, but the point of this ACGM is to show that the last thing that we should think about this TDL is buying. We are not in the position to buy, we dont have the assets, if we are looking like a 100 point team Pettersson will stay, and if we can sell to him that this team would be better off, and that if we start looking at next year, we will be able to start contending. We are going to start seeing the fruit of drafting and developing under this regime pay off, Lekkerimaki, Willander, Raty and McDonough should all be making the steps to be everyday players, the cap will be going up, and we can start talking about a cup and not playoffs.

i agree, great example. let the team play the season see where they're lacking.
TDL would be to gain assets and lose contracts.

address shortfalls in FA or next years deadline.

So...the team with Pulock, Dobson, and Mayfield at RHD is trading a 2nd for an overpaid bottom pairing defenseman...why exactly?

RD, consummate professional, veteran who can kill penalties and when not paired with OEL is a good defensive Defenceman

33/34 with zero offensive output. With little to no cap space most teams will pass. Even if it was a low ask like a 5th, but I don’t see anyone offering a 2nd unless they are beyond desperate.

You have it all wrong. If they are 100 pt pace, that first round pick is checking shipping rates because it's as good as gone!!

I'd love to be wrong but no chance anyone gives up a 2nd for Myers. I don't even think Beau will garner that kind of return. Beau will probably fetch a mid round pick while Myers is likely something late.

Ok but who is pro rating cap space that will also be in contention? I think it’s like 24 teams wil have less than 5 mil pro rated cap space by TDL

First of all, myers is half as good as savard

Second of all, 2 2nds make a late 1st. So I am going off of that. I think myers should be able to get a 3rd or maybe a 2nd.
