The boat for paying to move Joseph has most likely sunk already, the one for trading him without paying anything might have sunk as well

Like I have been saying since July 26th, the no brainer solution for Ottawa is to trade Kubalik for whatever pick or ok prospect you could get

At this point to fix Dorion's mess I'd be ready to do that but I doubt it would be necessary. I believe at 99.99999999999% that he would get picked up if he was put on waivers so no need to pay anything.

Kubalik's contract is NO RISK. One year at 2.5 AAV, has scored 24 goals per 82 games in the NHL, only 28 y/o. He has a very good shot that can beat a goalie clean so teams are always looking for that

Dorion is probably embarrassed to trade him because of the DeBrincat trade. It's becoming clear to everyone that he has no choice to do that
