Description

Leafs should’ve tried to make a trade with Carolina to try and spread out some scoring and giving Carolina the superstar they don’t really have. Aho-Marner would be a deadly two way top line.

Canes dont even pick up the phone for that. This trade would close thier cup window, given we have one of the deepest rosters in the league

If this trade was made I’d assume Canes would use the 2 1st round picks to flip for a better 2C to make up for depth lost but I’d just like to see Svechnikov-Aho-Marner

Marner straight up isn’t worth 4 core pieces, and hell, even 2 is pushing it. Forget the rest of the trade since it’s primarily just spare parts, but that is just truly terrible for the Canes.
