Armia is a worse cap dump than Mantha. There’s no way Washington gives you a 2nd and takes on Armia lol

DAL declines. Just pointless to waste high picks for assets of low need. Imo DAL is better off just staying as they are.

Agreed I don’t see how either team not named Habs accepts. Habs get the better players/picks in both scenarios lol

How would Mantha have a worse cap hit then Armia??

Armia is owed $6.8M and isn’t even in the NHL at this point, is 30 years old, and hasn’t broken 20 points in 4 years.

Mantha is owed $5.7M, is 29 years old, and was on 30+ point pace last season, can be 50% retained at the deadline and could even be a further 25% retained by a 3rd team and probably flipped for a small positive asset. He’s only got 1 year left Washington is spending anything to dump him let alone taking on an even further dead weight contract in Armia

1 season left at 5.7 for mantha. 2 at 3.4 for Armia. Caps just suck it up for this season and don’t have a boat anchor contract for next year
