Description

Line 1: This line has looked great for 3 straight games; wouldn't touch anything

Line 2: Palat-Hischier-Bratt has been mid in their stint together; I might give Mercer a look there to see if we can jumpstart him

Line 3: This was the original 3rd line coming into the year. I think Palat and Haula play well together so I'd give this another look

Line 4: This group has been excellent all year together

Pairing 1: Siegenthaler-Hamilton has been okay; no need to split them up yet

Pairing 2: Bahl-Marino pairing has not looked good at all IMO; put Luke and Marino together as an offensive-defensive combo

Pairing 3: Please take Brendan Smith out of the lineup; he is terrible. I didn't mind Cal Foote's games in the preseason and I don't think it's possible to be worse than Brendan Smith so I'd give him a look next to Bahl as a shutdown pair

Goaltending: Vanecek and Schmid have both looked weak this year and that is now a concern for me more than ever

Smith has pretty much been what we have expected all along. But I would give Cal a look here.

Would have been nice to have Sevo one more year.

I miss Graves. But Siegs has been BAD. Mercer and Nico couldnt even get anything going when they were together. Disagree with a few things but yeah.

The move probably could have been resign severson and then trade marino down the line. But realistically I would have needed Severson to take some kind of discount to do that.

I have been saying this about the goaltending the whole off season. It is a major issue and weakness that needs fixing if we want to contend. Vitek has been ok so far, but Schmid... oh my
