If CBJ are making a trade, it has to be to clear out roster spots. This just feels like a parallel move.

I like Broberg's potential a lot but for a team that already has Mintyukov, Lacombe, Vaakanainen and Zellweger as LHD under 23 the Ducks simply don't have room for him.

Lavoie is the definition of a meh prospect if you can even call him a prospect any more at 23. More accurate is probably calling him an AHL player.

Those pieces plus a couple of late 1sts isn't going to get you retention on Gibson *and* dump Campbell in the same trade. This isn't filling any needs for the Ducks. None. Zero.
