A third overall pick and two young guys with good potential.
For a most likely rental that'll probably retire in 10 years or less, and if he gets traded it's going to be to a contender.

Huh? What 3rd OA pick? Are you confusing Sillinger with Fantilli?

And again I say what 3rd overall pick?

Columbus won't be picking that high in 2024 far less in 2025. Adding a 1st line center makes them a playoff team which is exactly what Kekalainen wants. If he wanted to rebuild he never would have signed gaudreau and Gudbranson last year. Nor would he have upgraded the defense this year.

Sorry, I am confused too? Sillinger was 12th OA, Boqvist was 8th OA, and the pick is in '25.

Exactly and Boqvist isn't worth anywhere near that high a pick now. He's still only 23 years old but Chicago gave up on him quick and he's a healthy scratch Columbus is actively shopping now. What draft position he was taken in 5 years ago is meaningless now.

The first rounder will probably be a third overall
