Today's Tanev isn't the same player that left the Canucks 3 years ago. If the Canucks want him back they should ask for retention and not give up quality prospects. I'm not saying that he is a bad player, I just don't think he is worth more than$2/3 million or maybe some thing more like Studnicka and a 3rd.
He is absolutely not worth the Canucks 2 best D prospects and a 2nd.
If a contender wants to pay more ..... fine.

These are not the Canucks two best D prospects. Willander, Brz, D-Petey all better. Hirose is 24.5 yrs old!

Canucks would absolutely trade McWard for an established RHD. I'd way rather find a way to keep our first.

I have to disagree. Chris Tanev remains at the top of the league in terms of Defensive Dmen. His underlying metrics re: shot suppression are still elite/ at the top.
Its kind of insane.
Would love to see him back in VAN, but he might fetch a 1st, if he remains healthy.
