Those are both really bad for COL. RyJo is better than Bennet, Girard is better than Peeke but somehow COL adds Manson, Ritchie, Foudy and a 1st. As the great Scooby Doo once said “Rut roh?”

It makes even less sense for Columbus, value aside. The whole reason Peeke is available is because we have too many roster players, and especially D. A Peeke trade absolutely doesn't involve us taking more players back. Especially when you consider it's an older/more expensive RD with the same term, a center we've already traded away once, and the brother of a guy we just lost on waivers.

Sillinger would probably cost you a late first anyway, so I look at that as a wash...but even that makes no sense. The player we draft with that pick isn't contributing to this team for another 5 years, whereas Cole should be entering his prime when the window is opening. Why grab a pick you hope turns into a likely middle-6 center when you can just keep the current young middle-6 center? If Sillinger were to get moved, it would need to be for a long-term upgrade.
