idk about parayko's contract

Parayko has too many years left on his contract. Canucks should pass on that.

Heh. You guys are hilarious. Setting aside that this puts the Blues well over the cap and that the Blues are NEVER giving you 7x1.25 in retention and that Parayko is not available, you haven't even paid for said retention, let alone with Parayko, Vrana AND a 2nd.

I mean, really. NHL15 would shoot this fantasy down.

Yeah, regardless of the cap issues on the Blues side, I don't see them saying yes to this. They essentially get garland for the same price as Parayko for the next 3 years, lose a low 2nd, and arguably get worse offensively trading Vrana for Beau. Then they have 4 more years of the Parayko retention. Don't think so.

Blues decline. We have no need for Beau or Garland. Parayko on the other hand is our best defensemen so trading him makes no sense and we are not retaining that much for 7 years

Why would this be appealing to the Blues at all?

I’d imagine the Blues front office is completely fine with Paraykos contract he’s our best defenseman and it’s not really all that close. He’s deployed as such aswell. And yes I know he hasn’t exactly thrived in that deployment but it’s nothing short of a dumpster fire when anyone aside from him is up against other teams top weapons. That’s with very average or below average partners with him.

Before you jump on this comment as unrealistic it would take Willander for the blues to consider moving Parayko and draft capital. Not advocating Vancouver should or would do it. But blowing a hole in our defense for other teams problems and spare parts isn’t exactly ideal for us either.
