Description
Better mix of size in the top 9 with solid veterans with the kids, still have ample picks and prospects, bringing in Roy, Slaf, Reinbacher.

Seems like a lot for Couts and Hart, but theyre taking Dvorak and Allen cap hits (definitely not part of their rebuild), Barron is easily replaced by Reinbacher/mailloux,

Tbh for getting a starting goalie and a real strong 2C and giving away 2 cap dumps, this return is not a lot at all. 2 decent prospects and 2 picks in 2 years is really not much

^Ditto and you're not getting 5 picks for 3 dumps in other trades

regarding anderson to AZ; middle 6 W with 4x 5.5m left are tough TDL moves. teams that are looking to upgrade at TDL arent looking for long term deals on 29yo and prolly dont have cap, teams with cap prolly are not in playoff hunt and dont need him and arent looking to dump picks. only takers i see are playoff team that has injury on LTIR, even then i think an expiring W is more attractive.

And who takes over from Hart? Do you really feel confident there's an internal solution ready to take over because I gotta say I need a lot more proof before I'm OK with trading him.

Ersson hasn’t looked great to start the year but I think that’s just rust. 1 of Ersson, Kolosov, Bjarnsson will 100% be the goalie of the future. I’m more than fine trading Hart for the right price because I think one of them is the future

Coots is a risk, pure and simple. Good player but a risk. Allen isn't a cap dump, he's a capable goalie on low AAV. Hart is the only piece the Habs would want and I wouldn't be taking him on for Beck, Barron and Calgarys 1st.

But hes not a quality starter at 33 yrs old (for a rebuilding club) and makes almost 4mil, he only looks good in comparison to Dubas's signing of Peter Mrazek for 3.8mil. Allen is paid too much for a backup. Its also about size and 2 way ability in the top 6, which Anderson is definitely not providing and something missing now in MTL and the prospect pool. Couts is a risk, but based on how he looks now, you could make the argument that having had 2 yrs off, his 30 yrs is closer to 28 yrs.

Its also an unrealistic expectation that ALL the prospects will hit and that the team will gel without veterans. Caulfield and Suzuki are good, but they're way too small. Salf and Dach are good, but wheres the selke two way play, wheres the big body to crash the net, wheres the size?

Maybe its too much and maybe it doesn;t fit, but some MTL fans are crazy if they think Allen has value in that trade or Dvorak, or that MTL will be just fine

MTL fans proposed Allen, Barron, 1st, and 3rd for Hart, which isnt too bad (especially since theyre taking Allen, who they dont want), so the prosposal above adds Beck and a 2nd along with dvorak as cap dump for Couturier

If you think Allen isn’t a cap dump there’s nothing I can say to enlighten you lol
