Wild have no reason to trade Brodin. It would take an overpayment to get him at this point.

Marleau contract is 75% bonuses youre not actually paying that much in salary for his play and he should fit in well on the Kadri or Marner Line... Duchene is a perennial Olympian, an exceptional skater and exactly the kind of quick sniper u want with Marner. You have to look at things more objectively in terms of Duchene, when he plays with comparable talent hes always been one of Canada's 5 best fwds. Hes the only guy in the league along with Patrice Bergeron whos a better face off man than Bozak and he has the ability to play some LW which helps in 4 on 4 and OT situations b/c the Leafs are Right shot heavy up front especially on the wings. They have 2.1 mil in buyouts coming off the books next yr plus Lupuls 5.25 mil Marchenko isnt gonna get 1.45 mil to be an 8th d man and Fehr's 2 mil will be gone as well. That's 10.78 mil in cap space plus the 5.3 mil they get when Horton goes on LTIR, so they will have roughly 16.08 mil in cap space to sign Nylander... Sounds really tough to get done

I agree, I just know they are going to make a move to bolster the top 4 at some point and Brodin is in the age range they would target
