Flames won’t Trade Wolf for a 1st+. He’s untouchable

Tanev for a 1st + Ceci + Desharnais + 3rd/Lavoie maybe 🤔

Otherwise, Vladar is available, but we’d prefer not to trade him to EDM

I’m sorry but ain’t no way the Flames are gonna watch their goalie of the future develop into a nightmare-fueled brick wall used against them by their rivals right in front of their eyes.

Take out Lavoie and although I’m not opposed to Desharnais leaving, we would need someone to replace him on the right side with ceci gone there .. which we don’t have atm.

Kulak can play RD or we could send you Oesterle…

Doesn’t necessarily have to be Lavoie, but certainly gotta include a 3rd or some kind of Prospect for additional inter-divisional rivalry tax purposes

I figured it was unrealistic, just wanted to see flames fans opinions on moving wolf

Kinda confused on the flames goalie situation, when’s he gonna get the call up?? He seems ready, and vladar isn’t that great either rn to stop him from being the backup. Do they only wanna bring him up if he’s gonna start? If so would they move markstrom??

Markstrom has a NMC and just started a family, I doubt he’ll waive and agree to be Traded unless Backlund, Lindholm and Tanev were to leave. He’s also a more ideal Mentor to Wolf than Vladar would be

The reason Wolf isn’t up is because he’s still Young and Waivers Exempt. Furthermore, Vladar was better in Training Camp and they are being patient and waiting to Trade Vladar for decent value instead of giving him away

In Vladar’s defence and further reason as to why we don’t want to bring Wolf up, is that the Team in front of them are playing terribly and Markstrom has been playing much better, so there’s no point or rush in bringing Wolf up just to get blasted and lose confidence. He’s better off continuing to be the Starter and leading the Wranglers to the Top of the League again.

This all said, Wolf will get some NHL games this season,
as there could be an injury or illness and/or we could easily send a player down and bring him up and have all 3 Goalies on the Roster

IOW, he wouldn’t fair any better than Devon Levi in BUF and we don’t want to rush or screw up his development by putting that kind of pressure and expectation on him just yet. He has tons of time

Wolf ain’t the answer. As good as he may become expecting an inexperienced goalie to cure the problems of a cup contender is a crazy move.

The Flames have very few untouchables. Wolf is one of them.
