I don’t know they are playing pretty solid and Carolina has had some hiccups, obviously this changes week to week but to date Montreal has played better.

And sharks are WAY to high! There are at least 4-5 AHL clubs that could beat them out and maybe a stacked junior team or college team. And most of the SHL and KHL.

If the canucks play at a pace where their Xgoal vs goal differential is equivalent to the top 5 luckiest/best goaltending teams last year COMBINED, then sure the canucks will be a good team.

Watched the game. Can't play against stuart skinner, jack campbell, and kaapo kahkonen every night. Barely generated anything vs Saros Hart Oettenger or hart

well we generated 3 goals which was enough to win while allowing just 18 shots, played rly poorly against Hart (every team has a bad game, even the best team in recent nhl history ) and Dallas is a top 5 team in the league that plays a very similar structured smart, (we still won that game btw)

Point is, this team wins in every possible way against teams from worst in the league to 5th best in the league and win very convincingly in many of them.

We also didn't drop points against Washington, St Louis and Arizona so theres that too

The canucks wins in 1 singular way. Getting consistently outshot and outchanced while getting bailed out by unsustainable goaltending. Unsustainably good on the Canucks side, and unsustainably bad on the other. on pace for more that 200 goal differential above expectation is not a real contender. It's a sample size mirage that gets a desperate fanbase convinced of things that aren't true
