Replace Dowd and a 2nd with McMichael and Miroshnichenko and its still a no. As said ^ WSH doesnt have the pieces needed to pull off a move for a player of Drai's value

And giving up that many high value assets for one player is never a good idea

Okay here is my breakdown:

Keumper as more value than Skinner but for the sake of this lets call it a wash.

AA, Protas, and Lapierre are young pieces that will eventually find their way into your lineup with 2 of them being former first round selections and Protas becoming a solid bottom sixer.

Kuzy and Dowd are NOT the value of Drai but they are replacements for the center position and then you add a 1st and two 2nds and it ends up being 3 young promising roster players, a solid second line center, an elite 4th line center and 3 high picks for Drai.

The first would not be pretected so if the caps fell apart Edmonton would be in the Lottery.

When you are trying to acquire a piece like Leon Draisaitl you have to give up quality not quantity, it really is as simple as that, if Draisaitl were to become available a lot of teams would easily beat that offer.

You arent even offering a mediocre at best farm systems top pieces and you expect to get a top 3 C in the league? Quantity does not equal quality.

A presumed mid-late first, 2 late seconds a year from now?

Your valuations are way off here

I mean you didn't even include Leonard idk why you thought that package would be good enough for a top 3-5 player in the league. The caps either need to get a 2c they cann afford or get a bunch of depth pieces and a top 4 LHD with their new found capspace.
