I like the Zadorov add. But we best not be giving up RFA Lily for a pending UFA 4-5 spot dman. Brodie keeps his spot beside Rielly. I wouldn't be opposed to trading Lily for a legit dman upgrade (who has term), but not for a pending UFA in Zadorov.

3rd + 5th seems reasonable for a Zadorov with retention trade. Time will tell though!

Liljegren won't be part of a Zadorov trade. Flames would be fortunate to get a 1st for him but you likely see something like a B ish middle 6 prospect and a 2nd or 3rd. Could also see a hockey trade for Zadorov where the Flames try bring in a younger piece that fits their trajectory a little better, similar to Liljegren but not as good.

It’s not a bad offer, but the Flames should be looking to extend Big-Z long-term right now. He’s one of the guys who’s motivated, committed and passionate about being in CGY
