I know it's expensive, but Cole & Trevor can be a massive offensive duo.

An offer than the Ducks can't refuse.............. (Kent Hughes philosophy)

Anaheim's got no interest in turning Zegras back into lotto tickets, if you want to get Verbeek to bite, it will take difference making prospects, it will cost a piece of MTL's soul. Be prepared to cough up Slaf and Reinbacher if you want to get it done.

Any teams will not paid that much for Zegras or for ''few of their top prospects'', they will likely send somes draft picks instead. That's an offer that Veerbek can't refuse, especially for a pick in the top 10 of the next draft. That's the equivalance of minimum 3 first round picks and you belive that's not enough.... Don't forget Veerbek can also trades the picks for somes actual elements that he needed.

And also, Harris and Evans are both of them actual players on the Habs roster.

Yeah, it is an offer he can refuse, quite easily. 2024 is a weak draft, and the vast majority of that package is just adding to the overwhelming amount of bottom of the lineup players we already have stockpiled. Harris isn't interesting to us, we already have Mintyukov, LaCombe, and Zellweger. Beck and Evans aren't interesting, were already overstocked at center. You're offering us things we already have to give up something we need.

We already know Zegras is an elite offensive talent, that's why you want him, and that's the kind of player Anaheim needs, unless we have a shot at improving upon that, we don't trade him. 8OA in a weak draft and a bunch of pieces were already overfull at doesn't improve upon that.

Just make no sense that's you belive the offer is not enough but ok..........

It's like giving more than three 1st round picks for Zegras, no others GM's in the league will give more than that.

This offer doesn't provide what we need while asking us to subtract from what we need. Teams don't move out young stars unless they are damaged goods or have an equivalent young star coming back. Do you think Chicago would have given you Dach if he wasn't widely seen as a bust and desperately needing a change of scenery?

Your offer is quantity. Anaheim already has quantity, so that of no interest to us. Offer quality pieces at positions of need, and we can talk, but shotgunning a bunch of picks and excess pieces isn't going to move the needle at all.
