Oh trust me I don't think the Jets should make this move, but based on how they're using him, I don't think keeping him there makes much sense.

Based on his play over the last two years and his deployment by Bowness, his value isn't very high right now in my opinion.

He still has more value that a couple of relatively worthless players.

I'm not the biggest Bertuzzi fan, but saying a guy with 5 points (2g+3a) has more value than the "worthless" player with (3g+1a) this year (both in 13GP) is very silly.

Again, I don't think this trade would make the Jets better, but it really wouldn't make them worse either.

Yeah, points tell everything you need to know about a player. sarcasm. Just ignore the contract status. You may not like to admit it, but everyone knows, what a huge a disappointment Bertuzzi has been. You're stuck with him, you won't get a far superior player for him. Bertuzzi has shown this year how truly infective and impactless he can be.
