Way too much for Juuse Saros, That's basically equivalent to 3 1st round picks.

And Hanifin declines. He wants the U. S. not Canada.

Genuinely asking what do you think Calgary would want for Zadorov. He wants out and based on rumors Hannifin is feeling the same though I'm not sure he would be interested in the oilers?

Do you not see Campbell included? A 1st+ is just the cost to dump him.

What do you think the flames would need on their team other than additional picks?

Picks/young players. That Nurse contract is horrid and no way we take it back.

I think it could be fair for Nashville with the including of Campbell to cover the goalie they lose especially if he regains his confidence which I think could be done on a lower pressure team that gives him time and the ability to rebuild alongside his team. I honestly think they would even want more Saros is their work horse.

Hahaha Nurse is a solid 5-7 million dollar defenseman need to figure out a way to solve the issue which may include a trade with retaining salary to make him meet that 7 mil mark.

That's fair what prospect / young player do you think would fit in Calgary's system?

At 7 mil he'd still be overpaid by 2-3 million.

Even if you take Nurse out it still takes a whole lot more than what's proposed here for both Flames players... And then edmonton has to add even more to pay the rivalry tax too.

You think a mere former first round pick, injured 4th line forward, 2024 6th and 2026 3rd round pick will entice the Jets to part ways with esteemed third line winger Mason Appleton?

In all seriousness though, I genuinely think the Jets are better off rejecting this. Appy's on a heater this year. Playing with Lowry and Nino is apparently just what he needed to succeed. The Jets can't afford to lose the consistent scoring (even when it's in the most Mason Appleton way possible).

Jets are flush with FWD prospects too. Unless they see something special in Bourgault, he wouldn't become the top dog on the depth chart. The Jets are in "win now" mode since signing Scheif and Hellebuyck, and (I can't believe I'm saying this) Mason Appleton gives us a better chance to win this year and next year than Bourgault, Janmark, a 6th, and a 3rd put together.

Sorry, but NSH isn't taking Campbell for free. EDM is going to have to pay someone to take Campbell's contract because no one is taking him, even for free. Its going to take 1 or 2 1sts for any team to be willing to take on his contract, and NSH doesn't want to buyout another player considering they still have Turris and Duchene on the books from their buyouts.

Even optimisitically, Holloway, a 1st, 2nd, and a 5th doesn't get you Saros.

This is accurate. Trotz has already said he has every intention of resigning Saros and even used the Hellebyuck contract as a referenced starting point. However, he also commented that if a team approached him and made a strong enough offer he would take it.

We already know from last years deadline, that he won't come cheap. It was effectively 2 1sts and 1-2 blue-chip prospects for Saros when LA called asking. The price is likely a touch lower, but not much because Saros is likely the top goalie on the market.
