The Flyers easily pass on this. Eating half of Atkinson AND Ekblad AND giving up Hart for Knight and a 1st 2 years from now? No thanks.

Fair. I mean I'm high on Knight still and he's only 22. I also love Hart, I really don't think we should be trading Hart, I know his value can be really controversial on here, some people think Flyers are gonna get screwed some think Flyers will be compensated handsomely. I think Flyers will get more than people might expect. The retention was more for sweetening the deal purposes, and like I said I still think Knight has a lot of potential and fits a little better with a 3 year timeline for the Flyers than Hart might.

After posting deal I realized cap could made even w/FLA retaining instead on one player I just couldn't fix it.

I just think between Ersson, Kolosov, Bjarnason, and Zavragin, the Flyers think they have decent depth at the position. Everyone wants to have the Flyers get a goalie in return for what reason? I’m hoping for a ‘24 1st, a high end prospect, and a second pick somewhere between the 2nd and 4th rounds for Hart. I believe the Flyers have more assets to move and hopefully they all stay healthy.

I realize we have depth at the position, but I'm just not ready too put all the chips on Kolosov as much as I love his potential, Flyers have been burned to many times in net. If one of them develops into a starter, then it just becomes a good problem to have for the Flyers.

So many teams are always looking for Goaltending nowadays, having two good ones just makes us have leverage in trade market down the road. Where we can add assets/player later when we know more about our needs of the "good" Flyers teams of the future.
