Detroit is never going to give up three top prospects and two first round picks for a single player who isn't even signed for more than a year and is older than the rest of the core.

I can assure you that Detroit will not be doing this. Yes, he puts up a lot of points but even with McDavid they haven't accomplished much as a team.

Ya, it's a two year push. But, why would Drai leave? I know it can't be guaranteed to keep him around but Detroit is a really solid organization.
