Edmonton isn't paying a 1st and Bouchard to get rid of Campbell just to get the most unlikable and underperforming goalie in the league

Blues are not trading for Campbell's contract at all. Also makes no sense to get rid of Faulk

have you not watched him this year, he has been arguably a top 5 goalie behind demko and ullmark/swayman

So something like Bouchard and a first for Parayko?
Idk if that gets it done. I but think the blues would want a Parayko type player in return

Let's see him keep it up. When he is on he is a good goalie, then he becomes the hulk and can't save a beach ball

Bouchard holds more value than parayko why would the blues get a first also he’s on one of the worst contracts in the league that’s why the blues need to take back campbell aswell

Bouchard pays to take Campbell

There would still be need a lot added for Parakyo or Binnington

Why would Edmonton be adding in that trade? Bouchard is younger and better. If Campbell is involved it's another story but Parayko has been on the leagues worst contracts list two years in a row, doesn't have close to the value of Bouchard

Nope, Bouchard pays for Campbell Or 2 firsts pay for Campbell

Then you need at least a first for Binnington and a first plus for Parakyo

I mean I can agree to parts of that but I doubt Armstong values Bouch higher than Parayko

But no way The blues trade Parayko for a 4th Offensive Defenseman

Also wildly over exaggerated. When he’s on he’s probably a top 5 goalie in the league. When he’s being left completely out to dry mainly last season there probably aren’t many goalies in the league that could save a beach ball.

I don't think Bouchard fits in the Blues current dcore but that's a dcore that needs a revamp anyways. Every GM should value him more than Parayko, I get that CP is a leader and all that but his play has been declining for years now and I doubt he hold any value around the league with his over priced contract

That's exactly it though, when he is performing he is a positional goalie who uses his size. That means he needs a team with defensive structure, it's what won the Blues a cup. Edmonton isn't that team and they need a goalie who uses athletic abilities to make saves and does it consistently. Not aspects of strength in Binny

That would solve Edmontons goals against problem in one trade. Bouchard is somehow worse defensively than Krug is.

Why would the Blues do this again? Youth doesn’t instantly mean a player gets better at their large scale deficiencies. Campbell is currently in the AHL getting lit up like a Christmas tree while Binnington is playing lights out. 1st is cool. But I’m not so sure Bouchard would have more value than Parayko currently to the Blues

I mean one look how much the league seems to value guys like Parayko in trades

But too Parayko is on a good contract under 7mil
While it’s for a long time with the cap going up it’ll be a good contract, so you have to keep that in mind

I mean most goalies need some sort of structure. Getting 3-4 back door tap ins against a game isn’t something that’s really able to be overcome.

But in large part I agree with this stance. Realistically I don’t think Edmonton should pay the price it would require from the Blues. Binnington is an upgrade certainly. But if they don’t solidify their backend it probably wouldn’t matter. This is in large part of the reason why I’m against the Blues getting Bouchard. There’s no denying his offensive and puck moving talent. But there’s also no denying his lack of gap control, general awareness and pretty common mishaps that lead to high danger chances against.

A lot of it could be Edmontons structure. It reminds me a lot of what the Blues went through last season. The issue is I don’t know if Edmonton can sit on their hands and not make a major move like the Blues could

Ur pretty delusional when it comes to the value of Parayko and binnington and yes Bouchard holds a lot more value then parayko and is a lot younger and still has time to improve his game on the defensive end and binnington imo is just an avg goalie on an ok contract not great but not terrible and parayko contract is absolutely horrendous with that term left

Well Bouchard is 24 parayko is 30 there is still lots of time for bouchard to fix his game also parayko contract is terrible only because of the term left on it and binnington is on good start so far but he’s definitely not worth 6 mil a year

Parayko is 30 Bouchard is 24

Parayko is on one the worst contracts in the league Bouchard can be resigned at 26 to a way better deal and will be fully developed by then
