Blues laugh
I mean i doubt that offer gets you Buch unretained alone (only becasue it proably gets outbid)
But leddy at 2 mil is defiantly worth something
On top of that taking back JPGs cap dump.
Yea i dont see this being that close

In a rebuild, a 1st in 2025 (very good draft and Isles could suck) + a 3rd is very good. + Blues get rid of Leddy and also add two young players in Wahlstrom and Bolduc. Maybe they could flip Pageau down the road as well, he's very highly regarded in the league for some reason.

NSH would need so much more incentive to take on Lee's contract than this. NYI is probably better off just buying him out next summer.

Nashville/trotz is putting together a team that Lee does not fit. Brunette is a fast paced, run n gun type like he did with NJD and Lee isn’t needed or his cap

Buchy is a top winger in the league at a great cap which you lowered to even better for a bottom pair defenseman, average center and middle 6 winger who hasn’t shown strides. The only thing of value is the 1st round pick. Not to mention, they’re retaining $4.9m next year and $2m the following

Why would the Blues retain on 2 players for multiple years when they can most likely get a better return than that excluding Leddy altogether completely?

I mean 1.5 years of Buch at 2.9 is probably comparable or better than Meier for a team at the deadline.

Leddy isn’t bad. I’d argue that Leddy on his deal is pretty equivalent to Pageau on his or even more valuable. So we’re paying to dump him but taking in a worse contract in the same transaction

Not even close for buch and leddy with retention. Wahlstrom doesn't really interest the blues. JPG does nothing for us. The 1st is 2 years away. Bolduc is meh. So a bunch of things that blues don't want or value for one of their best players and Leddy with retention. It's a horrible offer for the blues/ The blues could get a 2024 1st and a very good prospect for just buch alone. Leddy at 2 mil is a great deal.

I mean that’s all well and good but these peices just aren’t that interesting for a guy like Buch
Also we are retaining in leddy so we’d still have that cap

Obviously I’d like a guy like Dobson but that’s not happening

What about Mayfield, Walhstrom, a First, A 3rd For Buch Retained?
Idk if Armstrong goes for that but that seems more feasible
