Description
All of these trades? Not happening. Maybe something along the lines of one of them? What needs to change for each of these to get done?

Flames are open for business, Lindholm's production is down right now, maybe the ask is lower.

Hanifin offer might be a slight overpay.

Nylander I think is close to fair - Toronto needs defense, plus what are likely to be higher 1st, 2nd, and 3rd rounders (no protection), and one of our top prospects... Mantha's a dump for the salary cap to work, but considering his contract expires this season and he's played well so far, it's not a traditional "dump" and I don't think there would need to be sweeteners added.

Capitals say no, why the hell would we sell our future when our present team isn't in a bad position

Because draft picks 1) aren't guaranteed to hit, and 2) typically take time to develop if they're not top-5 picks. Gives us a super-solid, young defensive core, an elite winger in his mid-20s, and a low-end 1C under 30 while getting us out from another year of Kuzy's contract and attitude. That's solid for the present and future, and lets us comfortably call up Leonard, Miro, and others over the next year or two.

Caps don't really need to sell the farm to acquire nylander when its likely that he goes to free agency. hes 100% priced himself at atleast 10m which tor cant afford

They absolutely can afford it. And they will sign him. He wants to be in TO and they want him there. If they trade him, Treliving and Shanahan should be fired immediately and the organization is going to tank.

heh heh, nuts.

Also just let Nylander go to FA if you want him. I'd also consider Konecny.

Toronto will have 31m in cap with only 9 skaters under contract. giving nylander the 10+ he deserves leaves them with 20m to sign 4 forwards 4 dmen and a goalie. which would put them in the same position theve been for the last 3 years. no goalie and no depth. even with the cap going up they'll be in a cap crunch because players will ask for more money and they wont be able to outbid any teams

also whos to say willy doesnt decide to just up and leave on his own for the money and term hes looking for like many other stars have done lately.

It's 34 million and I am pretty sure Timmins isn't counting there who is under contract. But as can easily be proven. The Leafs have AHLers ready to contribute for cheap, a couple of good prospects coming up and 24 million or so to play with to fill in the spots on defence. I know how badly you want this to be different but it isn't and the year after JT takes a huge pay cut with an expected rapid increase in the cap.

So what now? I am sure you'll throw a bunch of easily refutable nonsense that is entirely just made up bs that makes you feel like your opinion.
