Description
Direction: Continue to contend. Grz struggles a bit in 2023-24 so he bets on himself and stays where he has been his entire career on a 1 year deal. Back-up goalie could be Bussi or FA, fine with either.

Moving on from Ullmark is also such a question mark to me. Swayman is ready to be a starter, and it makes no sense to hold onto both and let Ullmark walk for free. But its such a tough decision because he has been so f---g food and they are an insane tandem. But here, I moved him

None of those trades happen and neither does the Myers signing.

Zacha has been very good at C. RNH would not push him to wing. That being said, combined with the extra cap space, Boston would be much better off going for top 6 wing in free agency.

Bruins arent trading Ullmark or Swayman. Ullmark may be moved in the offseason. makes ZERO sense to ruin the season now.

0% chance of Linus Ullmark waiving for Edmonton or any Canadian team for that matter.

Detroit passes, There's a very good chance that we re-sign Daniel Sprong.

I think there is a good chance Sprong goes at the TDL.

If it comes with an extension in the offseason, I wouldn’t rule anything out. My guess is there is a value to locking in his next contract

He’s eligible for one in the 24 offseason.

I think if the Bruins remain one of those top teams with the current roster, they re-sign all UFAs on a 1 year deal and look to get a pure goal scorer. Except Swayman and DeBrusk. They ink a 5.5 to 6 mil X 5yr deal for #74 and 6 to 7 mil x 8yr deal for #1. JVR (1.75), Shattenkirk (1.5), Forbort (2), and Grzelcyk (2.5). If they can’t do all that and keep Ullmark, then he’s gone and they give Bussi a shot.

Giving Debrusk that deal would be a disaster. Best option is to offload him and use his cap imo. Or just let him walk.

Cant see swayman taking a 1 year deal. Hes having a career year, time to cash in imo

Swayman is NOT taking a one year deal. I listed him as 6 to 7 mil for 8 years.
I understand your hesitation on DeBrusk but if you’ve been watching the games, you can see he’s possessed and it’s just a matter of time that he starts finishing. His 200 foot game has improved exponentially and he’s proven he can adjust no matter who he’s playing with. He won’t get that money from another team but I believe Boston would.
