Description

This is just what I think would be needed if the Oilers would move Campbell to Habs.
They won't get something worth it at his salary and length of contract. They'll need to pay high.
Else, he's gonna go AHL and cost LOTS of cash to the owners.

Habs need picks, high picks. They provide a solid goaler, a development DMan (which basically EDM need to have on the team at some point.. instead of forwards..)..

Campbell's no trade.. I'm pretty sure he's ready to move anywhere.. even ARZ..

I figure it's either this type of trade, or Habs only send Allen vs a pick (2nd to 3rd min) in light of OIlers' situation.

Additional Details:

*Pick is conditional, protected top 5; if it gets top 5, then Habs get 2026 unprotected.
EDM needs a better goaltender; Allen ain't the greatest, but is providing numbers on a very young team in front of him and not the best in defense. So should be stronger than Campbell.
Montembault and Primeau are not a solution for them, they are still in development.

Additional Details:

The over pay for Allen/Lindstrôm is to compensate for the term and $ on Campbell's contract.

Habs can take the risk on him, they'll still need a goaltender, and they can retain if need be, or send him down since they also have money to bury if there is a need.

I'd do it, assuming Campbell doesnt bounce back, taking that contract suxs but it gonna expire in 3 years, right when Celebrini (please god make him a habs im on my knees and begging) ELC comes to an end.

Depending on his success and what he ask for, you can take the 5 mill used for campbell and use it for him.

Allen and Lindstrom arent apart of the future (at least i hope not)

Only thing I would say is change the condition on the 1st to be the 2025 1st, I doubt the Habs would have any interest in waiting 2 years for their compensation since it means whoever they chose wouldn't get the extra year of development
