The 1st better be completely unprotected if Habs take Campbell's complete contract... regardless, I don't see EDM having any interest in doing this.

So we lose our best goalie and take a complete anchor contract in return. You got think it would cost more than this for Edmonton.

If it only cost a 1st + 4th to offload a 5 mil AHL goalie, don't you think Edmonton would have done that by now?! I know there are speculations out there that it would cost a 1st + 3rd or 4th but if that were true any of San Jose, Chicago, Montreal or Columbus would have made that trade and Edmonton wouldn't have Campbell any longer. Fact is though 1 year of a 5 + mil contract costs 1 1st round pick, for teams to be even slightly interested it's gonna take a minimum of 2 1sts and probably Bourgault
