The fit is right, they get a D man to plug the hole left, they get a borderline NHL ready prospect that is 20 with a bunch of upside still and a 1st round pick. There could be better offers out there but it is a well thought out deal I think,

Appreciate that, I think it can be a win/win for both sides. For the Flames sake hopefully get an extension done is best case scenario.

This is pretty much the starting point for an offer for Lindholm from Boston.

I don’t see Boston trading for Hanifan. They already have two defenseman that need Powerplay time to be worth their salary. Adding a third seems like a bad decision. You are going to overpay for Hanifin with what he can provide unless you are going to diminish either Lindholm or McAvoy.

The local angle is a good news story, but it is a terrible use of salary. I see the fit as terrible unless Lindholm is waiving his NMC.

I think the Bruins attempt to get "bigger" on D and move Grz after how they treated him in the playoffs, but I don't think it involves a 1st or Lysell.

They're going to add more grit in the bottom 6 and a 2nd/3rd pairing D, but I don't know if they're going to swing as hard as they did last year.

Also Kane is a big no.

It’s already deadly. It’s not as deep as I’d like it.

If they are acquiring a defenseman that is a free agent, there is one in Florida that seems more viable.

Personally, I’d rather invest in two third line defenders than Hanifan if I was allocating money. I personally believe it should go to a forward though
